A high school French teacher from Chesterfield, Virginia...

Marcia Edmundson

Students: Bon chance Madame Edmundson !

What is the most rewarding aspect of being a teacher?
The most rewarding aspect of being a teacher for me is the relationships that I build with my students. I teach them sometimes for two years at a time, and I get to know them through most of their high school career.

How have your students reacted to you being on Jeopardy!?
My students' reaction has been, uh, ranging from incredulous to sheer excitement. Um, some of them remembered the audition process and they were very excited that I made it.

What do you think will be your biggest challenge on the show?
Biggest challenge, um, as far as the tournament, I think, will probably be, um, staying calm and not flailing about like the idiot sometimes I tend to be.
