Hey, L.A., what's up? My name's Evan Sandman. I'm a front desk manager from the San Fernando Valley. Come check in with me on Jeopardy!
[2011-11-01 Winner's Circle interview]
You are leaving here today as a Jeopardy! champion, what does that feel like?
Being Jeopardy! champion means the world to me. Um, I've watched the show for 28 years, ever since it's aired, and it was such a fun experience. Um, for my family, the--the money is wonderful, but the experience, and just being able to go up there and compete with some of the smartest and quickest people I've ever spent any time with, that to me and that to--to us, um, is what what was most exciting and what means the most.
What's Alex Trebek really like?
Alex Trebek is a very bright guy. Alex Trebek is very snappy, he has very quick answers, he's very witty, and he's very involved in the game...
What are you going to do with your winnings?
I plan on doing a lot of things with my winnings, but most of all I plan on giving them to my wife. Um, we have a baby on the way, due in February, and, uh, y'know, as much as I would love to spend that money traveling and I would love to spend that money fixing up the house, we're going to put it somewhere where we know that it's gonna to be there, and--and hopefully growing so that for our growing family, we'll have something to help out in times when we need it.
