A sophomore from Jackson, Mississippi...

Katie Gill

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
In ten years, I see myself being a writer for a television show. I love to write, and I think that with a lot of the stuff on the air, like, "I can do better!" I can--no offense to writers or anything, but I think I can do better than some of the things out there.

What is your motivation for being on Jeopardy!?
My motivation for being on Jeopardy!--it's not just the money, although seeing--the, the thought of the $75,000 prize really helps out a lot--um, it's mainly just to put Mississippi on the map. Because, we really don't have much, and I love Mississippi, but, we're... like, when you compare us to New York, it's like like Big Ol' New York, little bitty mississippi. So, here's hoping that Mississippi can be remembered for something more than Civil War battles and Jim Henson.

What is your favorite part of Jeopardy!?
My favorite thing about Jeopardy! is just being up here with all the lights and the sounds and the annoying "Think!" music that ya always get at Final Jeopardy!

What is one of your life goals?
Being on Jeopardy! actually is one of my life goals--although I never expected it to come true! Um, some of my other goals are going to a good college, getting a major in writing or English--something along those lines--and etching out a living for myself.
