How did you find out you'd be on Jeopardy!?
I'm--I'm in the orchestra, actually, you know, 'cause this is all how it started, and actually, you know, ironically, we were performing for an upcoming concert that night--I mean, we were practicing for it--and, um, then all of a sudden my principal comes in. "Okay"--y'know--and then a TV camera comes in also behind him, right, because it was an ambush, you know? And... I--I--I--I remember giving the camera, like, this evil glare, like, "What are you doing here?" It's like, "I want to believe this is for Jeopardy!, but I don't believe it's for Jeopardy!, 'cause what if it's not, and then, y'know..." But then, y'know, they announced it that I was going to be on Jeopardy!, and that was really, really exciting.
How did your teachers and classmates react?
Oh, they were--yeah--they were pretty darn excited, yeah. Some were just like, [frantic] "Oh, that's so great! That's so great! Tell me how it went," you know, and "I'll--I'll--I'll send you positive brainwaves" and whatnot, and others were just like--I would go up to someone, or, like, they would actually, like, they heard it, actually, that I was going to be on Jeopardy! went on the school, y'know, daily announcements and stuff, so everyone knew, and then they would run up to me, y'know, 'cause I'd also be wearing a Jeopardy! hat, and--which I call my ego hat, now, but, [laughs] y'know--um, they'd come up and say "Oh, that's so great." So some teachers would come up and say that, and some others would be like, "Oh, well, remember that you should study for this, this, and this. That's awesome." Y'know. And then some would give you more pointers and some would just spazz about it. So I got a variety of reactions and it was all very exciting.
Which categories do you hope to see?
I think it would be really fun to have a STUPID ANSWERS one.
What are you most excited about?
Well, you know, I think, like a lot of people, I just want to have a good time here, I wanna, um, y'know, make some--make some friends, y'know, be able to have some, y'know, fun times being with fellow nerds. Um, y'know, all that kind of stuff. But then, of course, it's always really fun just to be on here, perform, see what you know, learn something new. That's, y'know, obviously really exciting, so... yay! |
