A senior from Aiken, South Carolina...

Amy Varallo

How did you find out you'd be on Jeopardy!?
Well, I was ambushed at school, actually, and, um, that morning, there had been a few signs that I should have realized something was up, but, I, being oblivious, did not notice at all, and it was a complete surprise. Um, all of my friends and some of my teachers were in this room, and the TV crew was there. It was really surreal, actually. I screamed. Um, I didn't believe it for a minute, and then everybody was clapping, and I just, I hugged my mom, and it was really awesome.

Did your parents give you any advice?
They told me just sort of go with your heart, I guess, and they said "Don't wager too big." So, we'll see.

Which categories do you hope to see?
I would like to see a literature category. Um, FINE ARTS is probably my favorite.

What will you do with your winnings?
Probably towards college, somewhat, uh, as cliché as that sounds. And, um, maybe looking to, uh, start a fund for a horse down the road.
