A recent college graduate originally from Laurel, Maryland...

Vinita Kailasanath

Has your popularity increased since your appearance on Jeopardy!?
Um, well, people don't refer to me as "Vinita," they call me "Jeopardy! girl" around campus now! And, um, other than that, I've still been in school, at Stanford, and I'm finishing up in June.

How much money did you win last time?
Uh, $50,000.

How did you prepare for the tournament?
Uh, I didn't really have a chance to, because I was cramming for midterms. But, uh, I guess, I just kept on reading, and just generally being aware of things, and my friends always had helpful little trivia bits that they would pass on to me.

How did you react when you got the call to be back on the show?
Uh, well I knew, because I'd won the college tournament, so... It wasn't that much of a surprise--I just didn't know when it was going to be.

What was the best part of your original Jeopardy! experience?
Um, probably, it was standing up here, and then hearing the UCLA marching band playing the Jeopardy! theme song. That's when it hit me and I was totally excited.
