An actor from Law & Order...

Sam Waterston

Acclaimed actor Sam Waterston is now in his 13th season as the charismatic and tough Jack McCoy on NBC's Law & Order. Mr. Waterston is an eight-time Emmy nominee, and won the Emmy award for hosting the 10-part NBC informational series Lost Civilizations.

He received a Golden Globe for I'll Fly Away, and in 1999, won a Screen Actors Guild Award for his performance as McCoy. Mr. Waterston has excelled on the screen and stage, earning an Oscar nomination for Best Actor in The Killing Fields, and a Tony nomination for his role as Abe Lincoln in Abe Lincoln in Illinois at the Lincoln Center Theater in New York. He has appeared frequently in New York's Shakespeare Festival in such works as As You Like It, Measure for Measure, and Hamlet. He is playing on behalf of two charities: Refugees International, and Oceana, an organization dedicated to protecting the world's oceans.

Why do you think you will win?
Oh, I have no idea whether I'm going to win. I think we're all winners simply by being here doing this. I think it's a great thing to be able to talk about our charities, and to be able to put 'em in front of the public, and, and to get them some money.
