What happened when you found out you were going to be a contestant?
Well, I was in band class, and we were playing through our year's field show (I'm in marching band) and suddenly my mom and my dad and a television crew and the superintendent and all the guidance counselors came in, and I was thinking to myself, "Wait. It's not my birthday. What's going on?" And it turned out, uh, that I was on Jeopardy! and they just kind of handed me the hat and the shirt, and they were like... My mom was crying, and she was like, "Congratulations!" And I was just kind of [ew face with jaw to one side] like, speechless.
Did anyone give you any special advice on playing the game?
Actually, I called my band director yesterday, and he was like, "Don't bet it all on Final Jeopardy!"
Is there anyone you'd like to say "Hi" to?
I'd like to say "Hi" to all my fellow Oakcrest Ambassadors and wish them congratulations on winning their championship yesterday. And, um, to all of my friends from Oakcrest and all of my teachers. "Hi."
Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Ten years from now, I hope to be, um, an international lawyer for either the State Department or the United Nations.
Are you a big Jeopardy! fan?
I--I like to watch Jeopardy! but I don't really get a chance to, between all of my after school activities, and homework, and...
If you could invent a perfect Jeopardy! category, what would it be?
AMERICAN GOVERNMENT & POLITICS.
Did you do anything to prepare for today?
Not really, I just kind of watched Jeopardy! a little bit and tried to familiarize myself with different trivia questions.
What will you do with the money if you win big?
It's probably all going to college.
What are your plans for college?
Uh, either Georgetown or the University of Pennsylvania.
