What Station Do You View JEOPARDY! On: NBC 15
What happened when you found out you were going to be on the show?
Um, I and everybody in my family were just hyperventilating. They were so incredibly excited that I was going to be on Jeopardy! I remember in the parking lot before the try-out, my dad told me, "You know, you can't get disappointed if you don't win," and I look back on that now and I laugh.
Do you have a strategy today?
Uh, not really. Just try and do generic strategy. My dad and I have been discussing that for Final Jeopardy! But I don't have any particular strategy for regular and Double Jeopardy! other than get the questions right.
What did you do to prepare for today?
I've been preparing by reading a lot of books and miscellaneous facts and stuff, trying to brush up in math and pop culture kind of stuff, which are both my weaknesses, um, and other than that I've just been trying to rack my brain, review everything that I know and mentally prepare myself for the show.
What is your favorite Jeopardy! category?
Um, I'm hoping to see some HISTORY up here, um, hopefully some political stuff, like GOVERNMENT. Um, I'm hoping that there's a minimum of math, but I understand that they get your weak categories, so there will probably be some but not a lot. And I'm just really looking forward to it.
Do you have any personal heroes or anyone you look up to?
I look up to President Abraham Lincoln in particular because even when popular opinion swayed one way or another he just stuck to his guns and we're experiencing the fruit of those actions today. Um, I look up to the President, just because he's the President and it took him a while to--he had to work really hard to get there. Um, Ken Jennings, of course, because he's so intelligent, and, of course, Alex. Oh, yes. And God. God, of course.
Where do you see yourself ten years from now?
Um, I see myself either studying in college for a master's degree or something, um, and then a little later than that I hope to run for public office and start working my way up the ladder.
