Elise set an early record for single-day cash winnings. She won $23,800 on show #18, aired 1984-10-03. Her record lasted for over a year and was eventually broken by Harvey Becker's $25,400 win (#304, aired 1985-11-07).

Elise was also the very first 5-time undefeated champion to be retired on the Alex Trebek version of Jeopardy!

Elise's middle name is Dee.

In June 1999, Elise published her first romance novel, Remember My Love.
