What categories are you hoping to see?
I'd really like some world history or world geography or something about the Beatles.
What are you most excited about?
People say this a lot, but it's the idea that it is so much trivia on so many different subjects that it's mind-blowing how much--how the diff--how drastic the difference is from DR. SEUSS CHARACTERS to MICHAEL JORDAN.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I'd really like to be an actor, but say that doesn't work out, I'd like to be a microbiologist for the FDA.

How does it feel to be a Jeopardy! champion?
When I watch Jeopardy!, and I see the contestants, it feels so far away and so unreal, and then I'm on the same set, I'm looking at the same game board--is amazing just within itself, and then it hits me that I've won $40,000+, I'm in shock for a little bit, and then I'm jumping up and down inside, but I have to stand there and have pictures taken, and... that sort of thing.
What are you going to do with your winnings?
I plan to donate some to Soaring Wings Ranch, a home for orphaned/neglected children right outside my town of Maumelle, and save it for my college education, put it in a bank account, draw interest, and maybe if I have a little bit left, buy an iPhone.
What's Alex Trebek like?
He is a really nice guy. When you see him onstage, he's kind of serious, but when you get to meet him, he's funny. He's like your best friend the minute you meet him.
Was there a category that was easy for you?
If the Final Jeopardy! counts, it was NOTABLE U., um--AMERICANS, and we--it was about Thomas Edison. That was my winning question. And it talked about all the patents that he'd had, and I'd read up on Thomas Edison in a book of mine, so I felt pretty confident with that category and that question. |
