A high school English teacher from Ellettsville, Indiana...

Larry DeMoss

My name's Larry DeMoss. I teach at Edgewood High School. I teach freshman and senior English, including a dual-credit English--a high school and college credit course.

Did your students help you prepare for the show?
My students have been giving me a lot of advice on what I should say when Alex comes over to interview me. Uh, other than that, they're just hoping that all the categories are in English.

What made you choose teaching as a career?
I had worked in fast food for a number of years and realized I didn't want to keep flippin' burgers my whole life, and so, my wife asked the perfect question, what I enjoyed about the fast food business, and I really enjoyed working with high school students. And so, she asked the perfect question which was, "Why don't you teach?" And so, at that--set me on the road.

Tune in! You might learn a thing or two!

"He went from short orders to short stories when he switched from working in fast food to teaching English. From Ellettsville, Indiana, let's greet..."
