A junior from Fremont, California...

Nikhil Desai

What was your reaction when you found out you made it on Jeopardy!?
Well, my parents told me the news, and I was really surprised, because I was--I was ho--I was really s--uh, astounded by the level of competition of everyone that was at the auditions, and, uh, when, uh--when my parents told me, I was really shocked and then thrilled, and I just hope that everyone does well today.

What is your dream category?
Um, probably something like WORLD GEOGRAPHY, because I really love geography. It's my favorite subject, as well.

Any plans for your winnings?
Well, prob--possibly some of it will go to college, but we're actually--p--some--at my school we're doing this outreach program for robotics in India and in our local community, and I hope that a large portion of that will go towards, uh, working with other people, because robot--we want to spread information about science and technology education, so... we want to be able to teach other people robotics.
