A software engineer from Ottawa, Ontario, Canada...

George Tsuji

Hey Ottawa, it's George Tsuji. Watch me hope for the HOCKEY category to come up on Jeopardy!

[2010-11-22 Winner's Circle interview]
How does it feel to be the new Jeopardy! champion?
Uh, being a Jeopardy! champion, it's hard to say how it feels. I think I'm still in a bit of shock right now. Um, it's just a--it's just a great feeling.

When did you start watching Jeopardy!?
I started watching Jeopardy! with my family, um, when I was a wee lad, and, um, had lots of fun, and sort of watching it ever since.

Are there any teachers or professors you would like to thank?
Um, I think the couple teachers that--that were--had the best influence on me were, um, Mrs. Morrison, my grade 4/5 teacher, and Ms. Swain, my grade 6/7 teacher. Uh, they--I was sort of, uh, a little scatterbrained as a student, and, uh, they helped keep me on track and get me... here!--I guess.

Season 27 1-time champion: $20,000 + $2,000.

Last name pronounced like "TOO-jee".
