A sophomore from the University of Wisconsin–River Falls...

Danny Vopava

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Well, in ten years, hopefully I'm not still washing dishes. Uh, hopefully, I'll be, uh, uh, teaching at a--at the high school level--I mean, that's what I'm going to the university for--uh, teaching high school English, uh wherever... wherever I can get work.

Do you think your major will give you an advantage in the College Championship?
Well--y'know--I hope so. Jeopardy! apparently uses the same canon that quiz bowl does, and, y'know, there's a lot of lit questions, a lot of English questions, a lot of word origin questions, so, uh, I'm pretty sure it will.

What do you hope to take from this experience, other than money?
Hopefully I'll take away from this experience, at least, that, uh, this was my first time, uh, riding a plane alone. Um, uh, or, just, uh, y'know, the fact that I was in Los Angeles. This is probably going to be my only time here.

What's more difficult, the pressure of Jeopardy! or the pressure of final exams?
Huh! Well, I don't really cram for final exams a lot, so Jeopardy! is easily, uh, harder than that. Uh, this was actually just a lot of, uh, being nervous, which isn't that different from finals, but, y'know... I'm not that intimidated.

Show your school spirit and tune in!
