Brad Rutter

Hi, I'm Brad Rutter, and you're watching me on jeopardy.com.

How did you prepare for being a contestant?
I basically just watched the show a lot. There's no better way to prepare, I don't think, because you get a feel for what categories are going to come up. I also get to work on my speed, which I can do against the contestants on the show.

How long have you been watching Jeopardy!?
I've been watching Jeopardy! basically as long as I can remember. Um, [gap in the video, which is probably an anecdote about his family's TV set having been broken in the early '80s] but we replaced it right when the new show with Alex came on.

GOOD LUCK, Brad!

Brad also appeared on Grand Slam in 2007. He began as the top seed in the tournament because of his holding the all-time game show winnings record. He made it to the quarterfinal round, in which he was eliminated from the tournament in his loss to Who Wants to Be a Millionaire $500,000 winner Ogi Ogas.

Brad shared a $600,000 prize with Ethan Brosowsky and his "pub quiz" team comprising Ethan, Brad, Alan Bailey, Jonathan Dinerstein, Adam Stein, and Rebecca Ward on Million Dollar Mind Game aired 2011-11-27. The players met each other at O'Brien's Irish Pub Quiz in Santa Monica, California. The players unanimously opted to end the game at the $600,000 level rather than proceed to the million dollar question and risk losing all their winnings.
