A ten-year-old from Longmeadow, Massachusetts...

Neal Freyman

Hi, my name is Neal, and I'm from Longmeadow, Massachusetts.

How long have you been watching Jeopardy!?
Um, I'm not--I'm not exactly sure, but probably since I was young. Four or five.

How did you prepare for today's show?
Um, well, like--the trivia questions--we go on the web, and just, my parents ask me questions, and I just... try to answer them. And I read lots of books about different subjects and encyclopedias and study flashcards... Stuff like that...

How do you feel about being on Jeopardy!?
Um, well, the TV station--local TV station called my parents early that morning, but then, um, my--then--the TV station--I didn't know yet, so they came at 5:30 to my house and they surprised me with their camera rolling, um, at the door--at my front door--and I was really surprised, and it was funny, 'cause they had the tape rolling when he told me--when the announcer told me that I was going to be on Jeopardy!

What is your favorite category?
Uh, I would say U.S. HISTORY or SPORTS.

What do you want to be when you grow up?
I guess a teacher. Elementary school. I'm not sure why, though. I just like teaching.

How did you find out you were going to be on Jeopardy!?
I feel really excited, but I feel like I'm going to do not-so-good, not-so-great. I get lots of dreams about that. But I guess I'll do okay.
