A senior from Rockledge, Florida...

Andy Hutchins

How did you audition for the show?
I took the online test back in 2006 and because of that was invited to a regional audition in Chicago; took that; thought I did reasonably well, and obviously did do reasonably well.

What did you think of the online test?
I thought the test was actually kinda fun. It's not often that I get to take a 50-question timed test in 15 minutes, I mean, that's something that doesn't provide itself in school, so... It was something very interesting... different more so than anything else.

How did you prepare for the show?
I've had people peppering me with questions since, but I haven't actually boned up on anything in particular other than doing what I usually do for Academic Team and things. So, no real special preparation except thousands of questions that my friends and family have sent to me.

Which categories do you hope to see?
I'm really looking for the category ARCANE AZERBAIJANI POETRY. But, whether or not that comes up, I'm just looking forward to competing with other teens, and seeing how I measure up, and hopefully getting along and making friends, and having a good, solid experience.

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
I think I'd like to be a journalist, because I like writing a lot, and I--I would hope that that would be sports journalism of some sort, because I've always been drawn to that.
