A freshman from Harvard University...

Ashley Grand

Are you proud to represent your school in the tournament?
Very proud.

What categories are you hoping to see?
Anything--anything with, like, literature, history... Y'know. Anything not science-related and I'm good.

Did you classmates give you any advice?
Well, um... y'know... win. [Laughs] My classmates just want me to win.

Can you show us your school's song or cheer?
[Indignantly hurt] Yale sucks! ... Yeah, go Harvard!

How did you prepare for the show?
Lots of studying for midterms and writing papers [laughs] the past couple weeks!

Where do you see yourself in 10 years?
Either back here in California, um, practicing law, or in Washington, D.C. working in government.

What will you do with your winnings?
I'd like to invest some of them, and then I'd also like to travel, probably to South America, Italy.
