A senior at UCLA from Long Beach, California...

Jayce Newton

Hi, I'm Jayce Newton from UCLA, fight fight fight, and you're watching me on jeopardy.com.

What's your major?
My major is American literature and culture, and as far as what field I hope to move into, I like writing, I like traveling, put those two together and give me a job, I don't know. Sorta undecided.

Did you ever play JEOPARDY! online?
Yes, I do play Jeopardy! online, but I prefer to look my opponents in the eyes when I face off against them.

How did you prepare for today's game?
To prepare for today's game, I took a long nap yesterday.

How did you find out you were chosen as a contestant?
I got a phone call on September the 12th, and it was way out of the blue, and, uh, my mind wasn't really on it, but I was very happy to hear--to get that call.
