A senior at the University of Rochester from Milwaukie, Oregon...

Colin Brown

What is your major?
I'm a political science major, and I'm double minoring in German and Russian.

Where do you see yourself in ten years?
Ten years from now, I'd like to be finished with grad school, teaching somewhere. I want to work as a professor, probably a bigger state school, I want to be teaching entry-level political science courses. That sounds like a fun job for me.

Is there any particular location you were thinking of?
I'd like to move back to the Northwest. That's where I grew up. Uh, time will tell.

If you win the $100,000 what will you do with it?
If I win the $100,000, I got a couple plans with it. The biggest ones, of course, taxes and student loans, paying those off. I promised 5% to Mercy Corps. The rest I'll see what I can do with it. But I got some friends who came down to watch me here--I figure I'll take them out for a nice dinner.

Did you do anything special to prepare for today?
To prepare for playing the game, most of what I had to do was just mental preparation. I--there's not a whole lot I can study, so it was just calming myself down, coming here, and making sure I was going to have a good time.

If you could invent a Jeopardy! category, what would it be?
If I could invent a Jeopardy! category for myself, it would definitely be OREGON TRIVIA. I'm known at school as being a little bit overly proud of my background.
